Merry Go Round takes all necessary measures to ensure confidentiality of information, both paper and electronic, required for the operation of our business. Our employees are trained in GDPR compliance and will act responsibly and with due care when handling personal data.
What Information Do We Collect:
When you book via our website, as part of the process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, telephone number and email address.Merry Go Round does not hold any credit/debit card information.
When you send us an email, Merry Go Round will store the inquiry for one month (these are not printed). After 1 month they are deleted (or deleted after your party booking). Telephone messages are written down, actioned on the day and destroyed. Merry Go Round will not disclose the inquiries and their contents to any public.
Our Booking System software (incorporating the online e-commerce platform) is provided by Just Step Online. Aspects of this system, including the underlying proprietary booking engine, is provided under licence.
Worldpay stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
Why Do We Collect This Information?
To process your booking and to secure your space on one of our play sessions, enabling us to operate visitor capacity limits.
We use your email address to send you a party booking confirmation, or to respond to your queries.
Your telephone number or email address may be used to contact you in the unlikely event of cancelling a party session.
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a booking transaction, you tick a check box giving your consent for us to store and use your data in accordance with this privacy policy. When you email or telephone us to make a booking, your request for us to process your transaction gives consent for us to collect and use your data for that purpose only.
How Long We Keep Your Information:
Customer records are kept for 3 years following the date of your last booking with us. You have a right to be forgotten and can contact us at any time to request that your data be removed from our systems.
CCTV is deleted after 21 days, unless required by law or for insurance purposes to be downloaded and retained as evidence.

For the safety and security of our visitors we have CCTV cameras in operation 24hrs a day. CCTV monitoring on our premises is for security and training purposes only and is limited to uses that do not violate the individual’s reasonable expectation to privacy. We will not disclose to any third party, footage of our visitors unless required by law or for insurance purposes.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
